Why is healthcare so expensive in the United States? For the same quality care, you have to pay much higher in the United States than elsewhere? Why? What causes that?

So that they can provide everyone who needs it, proper health care.
The U.S. has way more people than a lot of other countries and they need to keep finding resources, solutions, medications and the only way to do that is if they have money. IE- Our copay, insurance, etc.

In Canada health coverage is much cheaper.

I work as a Registered Nurse in a local Hospital.

One of the big things that is driving up the cost of health care is Doctors order so many expensive tests, because if they don't, and miss something they will get sued.

Another thing, here in America we feel that we have to save everyone. Is there a time when enough is enough? We get all upset when a husband wants to disconnect life support on his wife that has been in a coma for years. She doesn't know anything, can not do anything. Does quality of life come into the equation somewhere? Do you have any idea how many tax dollars are spent keeping people alive that do not even know they are alive?

In earlier era times were hard.Health care medicines were very costly.With coming of generic pharmacies in USA also healthcare costs have been reuced alot.Some people find it right that competitions are high.For reduction in prices health care pharmacies should come up with new ideas.Generic medicines should me made legal in USA.This is necessary to cover common man.Earlier times were hard But now times are changing.Cheap healtcare facilities are in the reach of people.

I don’t think that there is better quality in healthcare if you are paying for the same amount if you are outside of the US region. The main reason for such high healthcare bills that they would need the money in the cash pool so that they could have funds that are prepared for you if you are having sickness or anything that requires medical attention. And I believe that they are doing this for our good, not exploiting us. disease
