Music Video Against Poverty [Celsius X - Mouthful of Cake]

Good day to all !
We are a young band of high school fellows, and we have just released a music video that is turned towards fighting inequalities in the world today. We haven't spent a penny making this song and video (except for the cake...) and we will give every single penny that we get from itunes, Spotify, and hopefully youtube to charities (we will decide which once we get enough money).

Please support us and your world by spreading this video as much as possible and buying the song on iTunes or Spotify!

If you have got any questions about the song or the video, the meanings and the symbols feel free to ask!

During these terrible times that my wife and I are going through we have actually found that the small churches help people more than the big places like Salvation Army does.

Just yesterday I called the Salvation Army in Newark Ohio asking if they could help us with our Electric bill before it got shut off.
They replyed, "Sorry! we are out of funds"

Now there is a Church in BuckeyeLake Ohio that has in the past gave us $240 dollars to keep our Telephone and Electric from getting shut off.
The name of the church is called, Our Lady Mt.Carmel.
THESE ARE REALLY GOOD PEOPLE...
They did not even know us and we never even went to their church yet they still did not have a problem with helping us.

Most of the Churches are nonprofit and every cent people donate to them goes to helping people.

When we get up on our feet we plan to donate money to the churches because we know first hand that the money actually goes to help people with.

Later on should we come into a large ammount of money we plan to donate to Childrens Make A wish foundation.
I think donating to a place like this would make you feel really good.

The Life You Can Save by Peter Singer is imo the best book on poverty. It contains great ethical arguments for why we should be giving to charity, it lists interesting bits about human psychology that explain why humans are often bad altruists, it counters a lot of popular objections against giving, and, most importantly, it focuses on the cost-efficiency of help. The book came out quite recently (2010), so the empirical figures it cites are still very accurate.

I recommend this book strongly to anyone interested in global poverty and its solutions. If the ideas in the book become popular, there will be less poverty!

I'm a vegan. My favorite food is pizza, thai food, and self-made vegan burritos. I love it when the food is very spicy.

Guess I got on a wrong forum.
I thought this forum was for people that is down on their luck and suffering in poverty but it looks like its a forum where people just has ideas to voice to help get rid of poverty.

BUT! if there is someone on this forum that actually donates to help people in poverty and lifes ruts PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!

I was never always this poor and down and out but I need to get my car fixed and would gladly accept any help that someone would be willing to offer us.

Really want to help tackle global poverty?

Well Oaktree Foundation has global partners and our latest project is in Papua New Guinea as it is Australia's closest neighbour and only 15% of the nation is urbanized! Surely they deserve our help?
